The Cannes Yachting Festival has long been one of the most important events in the international boating calendar, bringing together the world’s leading shipyards to unveil their newest models and innovations. From 8–13 September 2026, visitors to the Côte d’Azur will once again have the opportunity to experience the very best of the industry firsthand.
This year, FIM Yachts returns to Cannes with one of its strongest displays to date, headlined by the world debut of the all-new FIM 580 Contessa. Joining it will be the acclaimed FIM 500 Regina and FIM 440 Regina, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the brand’s distinctive approach to contemporary Italian yacht design.
As FIM Yachts’ exclusive representative in Portugal, Ricardo Martins from Alura Yachting will be attending the festival and available throughout the event to arrange private viewings, introduce the range, and discuss ownership opportunities.
A Brand with a Distinctive Vision
Founded in Italy, FIM (Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi) has quickly established a clear identity in the premium yacht market. Rather than following traditional layouts, the shipyard focuses on creating yachts that maximise outdoor living, seamless movement between interior and exterior spaces, and refined contemporary styling inspired by modern architecture and automotive design.
That philosophy is evident across the Regina range and now continues with the introduction of the new Contessa line, expanding FIM into the Sport Fly segment while maintaining the same emphasis on elegant design, comfort and innovation.

World Debut: FIM 580 Contessa
The headline attraction for Cannes 2026 is undoubtedly the world premiere of the FIM 580 Contessa, the new flagship of the range and the first model to represent FIM’s new Sport Fly concept.
Designed with generous outdoor entertaining spaces, contemporary interiors and a panoramic sport flybridge, the 580 Contessa combines the practicality of a flybridge yacht with the sleek profile of a sporty cruiser. Large social areas, expansive glazing and carefully considered layouts create a yacht designed equally for cruising and entertaining.
The model also showcases FIM’s latest approach to materials, technology and onboard experience, representing an important new chapter for the Italian shipyard.

FIM 500 Regina
Alongside the new flagship, visitors will also be able to discover the FIM 500 Regina, a model that has become one of the brand’s defining yachts.
Its design centres around outdoor living, featuring spacious aft social areas, generous sunbathing spaces and a versatile beach club arrangement that creates a natural connection with the sea. Inside, contemporary finishes, large panoramic windows and multiple layout options allow owners to personalise the yacht to suit their cruising style.
The result is a yacht equally comfortable for day entertaining, extended weekends away or longer coastal cruising.

FIM 440 Regina
Completing the display is the FIM 440 Regina, a sporty walkaround cruiser that embodies the same design philosophy in a more compact format.
With clean Italian styling, expansive deck areas and bright, open interiors, the 440 Regina offers an impressive amount of usable living space while remaining easy to handle. Every element has been designed to encourage life outdoors, making it an ideal choice for owners who value comfort, practicality and contemporary design in equal measure.

Looking Beyond the Current Range
2026 has already been a significant year for FIM beyond the launch of the new Contessa range. The shipyard also introduced its new Tender Division, expanding its portfolio with a range of bespoke luxury tenders designed to complement larger yachts while carrying the same emphasis on Italian craftsmanship, premium materials and refined design.
Together, these developments demonstrate the continued evolution of the brand and its ambition to broaden its offering while maintaining a clear and recognisable design identity.
